Mr. ******** contacted me about my experience at the seminar and I explained it was very positive, but I had additional questions about the maintenance fees and my rights he proceeded to explain my rights and went out of his way to help me, he stayed in contact with me and called me everyday with his progress but when things didn't go as planned with me I said that we could try again in the near future he worked tirelessly trying to help me. He has excellent people skills and I would recommend him highly to anyone who needs that extra help. He seems to be a positive force in your association he is patient and knows his job and I am grateful that you have such knowledgeable people on your staff, I am looking forward to working with him in the near future.
VCS gave me alot of good information about the laws of time share, things that I didn't know
I attended the seminar on the premise that the effect of new laws affecting the timeshare industry were to be presented. In attendance were people with a varying degree of satisfaction with their timeshare experience, many of which were negative. At first I did not understand, myself having owned a timeshare property for 30 years that for the most part has been very positive. I soon realized that those with a negative experience were in a "points" program. In contrast, I own a deeded property for three set weeks every year, having started with one week and buying additional adjacent weeks as they became available. Early on we joined RCI and used it to stay at other resorts and travel at "bargain rates" in addition to our owned weeks. In 30 years, we never exchanged for our units. After a number of years, we dropped RCI as we found we were no longer utilizing their services. However, as the issue of maintenance fees was presented, I began to see why there is such dissatisfaction with the timeshare experience. I also understand why I receive mail and calls to get out from under maintenance fees. But I continued to think, "This does not apply to me and my situation." However, after some one-on-one discussion, I began to have some doubts about that - not for me, but for my children who will inherit the property. There are some questions about the "perpetuity" of the maintenance fees that I have to investigate. I have always though passing ** this property was a blessing, not an obligation. So as a follow up to this seminar I have some research to do. I do not have all the answers I need at this point. For others who own timeshare property, whether by deed or the points system, I would say attending this seminar is a valuable experience. If you ask, "What's in it for them?", since they are not selling anything, they address this issue.
6/8/2017 Yesterday My wife & myself had a presentation at the Embassy Suites in Glendale, Ca. I learned about many new laws & changes with regard to timeshares since I purchased mine 15 years ago. I found out there is "a way": to "GET OUT" of having a maintenance fee forever & even having this burden passed ** to family after you die. Well worth your time time if you own a timeshare & wish there was a way to get rid of it. All very professional & ZERO pressure to purchase "ANYTHING".
*** and I have been working with ******** ********* Director of Customer Service with Vacation Consulting Services, since we decided to get out of our timeshare for the umpteenth time. *********** concern and honesty are two of the reasons we did not back out of our agreement since we have been deceived by several companies before. ******** is very sincere and the most honest and diligent guy ever. We called his attention to an incorrect phone number which was corrected immediately. He also helped us to negotiate the initial fees. When the money was not deposited into our credit card account in a timely manner, I contacted ********* the money was there within a day. ******** is an amazing worker and consistently communicates with us. Vacation Consulting Services is fortunate to have him on board! We love this young man.
A good time with lots of information I didn't know!!All the Reps were polite, respectful and helpful!! I would recommend this to anyone owning a time share!!
I was skeptical of going to anything having to do with timeshares as they are always high pitch sales meetings offering you a reward while they pump you to buy their timeshare. I was pleasantly surprised when there wasn't any talk of buying anything at a Vacation Consulting Services Seminar held in May of 2017. It was an update on timeshare issues we all may experience. I learned several issues such as the House Bill introduced in Florida about original ownership responsible for maintenance even though you got rid of it, and also about no sky cap limit on maintenance. The consultants were knowledgeable and clear on all aspects of timeshare ownership. I also received a follow up call from Chandler S******* who forwarded me to some links outlaying several topics which were addressed at the event. Of interest to me is having an exit strategy for my timeshares in the event my kids do not want them and he assured me that Vacation Consulting Services is there to help me make choices regarding my timeshare. Again a great no pressure, informative event. I would recommend these highly trained consultants for any questions or concerns you have about timeshare ownership
I went to a presentation with Vacation Consulting Services and they were very professional. No high pressure and learned quite a bit about the new laws that could have a lifetime implications to owning a time share. I think everybody needs to look at their timeshare wording and laws as they relate to it.
One of our neighbors in our community referred us to ******** at Vacation Consulting Services. We wanted to eliminate our Diamond Resort timeshare, which we had for over 15 years. The maintenance fees kept going up and up until they were almost $6K a year. Since we are semi-retired, we thought we needed to eliminate this cost. ******** walked us through the whole process and gave us time to discuss among ourselves if this was legit. We 'traded' in our Diamond Resorts for a RCI Pure Points program, which at any time, we can stop. It costs $99 a year and you get 10K free RCI Pure Points annually. My husband and I wanted to have a pay-as-you-go and this package fit us well. The whole process from the initial contact to us getting rid of Diamond Resorts was approximately 4 months. If at any time we had questions about this process, ******** and the title company were more than willing to listen to our question and give us answers. Since I am researcher, I did lots of research on this company and the transfer company but didn't find anything negative about them. Also I have referred to five other neighbors...I think two of them are going on with this program. In closing, I find that this company to be reputable, answer questions (I promise, I had a lot), and customer service beyond what you see in today's business world.
The information I received at the short seminar last evening was helpful and educational. The material presented on new federal laws was very informative.
