Phillip Holguin was born in Whittier, CA. Growing up, he wanted to be a doctor in medicine so he could help people.
Upon graduating high school at 18 years old, Phillip jumped on a plane and moved to Hawaii. He learned how to live on the beach for about two months before moving forward with finding a job. The incredible experience introduced him to a different culture & people, and taught him how to grow from literally nothing.
From 1994 to 2004, Phillip was in California doing home remodeling. He then moved to his current state Texas and began building swimming pools, a job he still does to this day when he is not helping people at VCS.
When not working, Phillip loves to fish and go camping with his family. He and his wife have three kids. The oldest attends San Angelo State University in California and is studying to be a doctor, whereas his youngest is in the 11th grade. His wife teaches PE, and is also a basketball, softball, and volleyball coach. They have a small Yorkie named Mia.
